Think your business or paycheck isn't affected by Oceano Dunes? Think again. Oceano Dunes draws three times more tourism than Hearst Castle (2 million visitors per year). Oceano Dunes brings approximately $200 million dollars into the local economy and supports almost 2,000 local full-time jobs.

https://www.iqbroker-sg.com/iq-option-for-pc-windows Whether dunes visitors directly support you or your business, those that receive paychecks because of Oceano Dunes do. Don't be fooled. Dunes visitors in our county also visit restaurants, wineries, and buy many other goods and services while they are here. Visitors come from world-wide to visit Oceano Dunes, and the reason they visit elsewhere in the county as well is because Oceano Dunes brought them here.

Off-Roader Team #1 on Coastal Cleanup Day!

Top location in San Luis Obispo County 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011!

Off-roaders' #1 Coastal Cleanup Day Team Oceano Dunes, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008—Caring off-roaders and supporters went far beyond the call for a successful Coastal Cleanup Day event, unexpectedly achieving #1 status as the top cleanup site in San Luis Obispo County!

A total of 121 volunteers joined the cleanup, removing over 800 pounds of trash and recyclables from the Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area and Pismo State Beach. Volunteers included all-manner of off-roads groups, supporters, and their families. San Luis Obispo Boy Scout Troop 322 also joined in.

An original goal of only 40 volunteers was well exceeded as support and excitement grew. Off-roaders recruited family and friends for a fantastic and fun turnout.

Photos of the day can be seen here: photo gallery

iq option windows The event was organized on-line at YourDunes.org, which collected sign-ups. Numerous business and private sponsors quickly raised adequate funds for a newspaper and radio ad campaign which then attracted public participants.

Off-roaders quietly conduct multiple cleanup events each year, however Coastal Cleanup Day is a statewide and international event which provided opportunity to invite the public.

Off-Roaders Support Wildlife

Pacific Wildlife Care Receives Donation and Volunteer Assistance

Racoon caught in cage resuced by off-roaders Morro Bay, Monday, Oct. 13, 2008—Your Dunes joined Pacific Wildlife Care of SLO County as a Supporting Member with a donation from off-roaders on Friday, October 10. At the same time, Your Dunes offered volunteer assistance in the form of rescuing and transporting animals as needed. Three days after joining, assistance was requested to remove and release a racoon that was caught in a cage trap on a roof in Morro Bay. Using ropes, the cage was safely lowered to the ground and the little guy was released back to wherever racoons hide out. Wild animals are intentionally not relocated due to the possibility of mortality to dependent young.

If you come across an injured animal call in SLO County, call (805) 543-WILD. There's a fair chance an off-roader will come to the rescue!

Thank You's

Lois Capps, Congress of the United States, House of Representatives

Thank You from U.S. Congresswoman Lois Capps

Personal Thank You's

“Thanks a lot for all of the work you do in preserving the rights of the ohv community. A loss of riding area anywhere is a threat to riding everywhere. Keep up the good work and never be afraid to ask for help. With Much Appreciation.”

“I just wanted to take another minute to thank you for all the work you put in to the dunes clean up. I don't know how you manage all the time, money, and effort that goes into what you have done for the off road community as well as work a full time job and somewhere in between catch a wink of sleep. The Penguins motorcycle club has a long and really cool history, and I'm glad you are now part of it. It was so cool to hear our name mentioned at that Board meeting, let alone get a letter from our Congress woman and the ASI board chair! You efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we hope we can help you out in the future. Thanks again. See you around at the Beach race!” —President, Cal Poly Penguins M/C Club

“Thanks so much for doing soooooo much to help out and fight to keep the dunes/offroading still around! I was sad I couldn't make it to the day, but I keep hearing about the recognition. Good Job!”

“I just want to thank you for all your efforts and volunteer time on the Oceano Dunes clean up event and especially for being such a great role model for the up and coming generation. Sincerely, a Cal Poly Parent and fellow rider.”

“Thanks a ton, we were glad to help and it was a real pleasure getting some stuff done. As a new thing we are doing, we are all taking extra garbage bags with us to the dunes every trip we go on with the idea of getting bags off of there every trip rather than just on special occasions.” —President, Poly Goats 4-Wheel Club

“Just wanted to write and say thank you for putting on the Pismo clean-up. I can't begin to tell you how much we appreciate all that you have done. Thanks to your efforts, our club is off to a great start this school year. Thanks again, and be sure to contact us if you ever need help again in the future.”
