Responsible off-highway users and park supporters once again made Oceano Dunes the #1 Coastal Cleanup Day site to be in San Luis Obispo County for 2012!

iqbroker-sg.com/iq-option-for-pc-windows A total of 600 pounds of trash was removed from Pismo State Beach, Oceano Dunes and the surrounding residential beach areas by 90 volunteers.

Participating individuals represented Santa Maria 4-Wheelers, B.J.'s ATV Rentals, Angello's ATV Rentals, Guiton Real Estate, Cal Poly Goats 4x4 Club, Esau 4x4, Synergy Suspension, Poly Performance, Boy Scout Troop 322, Cal 4-Wheel, Arnie's ATV Rentals, Kevin Rice for San Luis Obispo City Council 2012, Cal Poly WOW, and YourDunes.org!

This marks the FIFTH year that YourDunes.org has organized Coastal Cleanup Day at Oceano Dunes, and the only site to provide hot lunch, T-shirts and raffle prizes to volunteers.

Off-Roader Team #1 on Coastal Cleanup Day!

Top location in San Luis Obispo County 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011!

Oceano Dunes, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008—Caring off-roaders and supporters went far beyond the call for a successful Coastal Cleanup Day event, unexpectedly achieving #1 status as the top cleanup site in San Luis Obispo County!

A total of 121 volunteers joined the cleanup, removing over 800 pounds of trash and recyclables from the Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area and Pismo State Beach. Volunteers included all-manner of off-roads groups, supporters, and their families. San Luis Obispo Boy Scout Troop 322 also joined in.

An original goal of only 40 volunteers was well exceeded as support and excitement grew. Off-roaders recruited family and friends for a fantastic and fun turnout.

iq option windows The event was organized on-line at YourDunes.org, which collected sign-ups. Numerous business and private sponsors quickly raised adequate funds for a newspaper and radio ad campaign which then attracted public participants.

Off-roaders quietly conduct multiple cleanup events each year, however Coastal Cleanup Day is a statewide and international event which provided opportunity to invite the public.

Even though cleanup was a great success, it is still possible to contribute. ALL proceeds above costs are being forwarded to the public benefit non-profit, Friends of Oceano Dunes. Please support our state park!

2009 Coastal Cleanup Day Event Raises Money

Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009—Your Dunes presented a $2,000 check to Friends of Oceano Dunes president, Jim Suty, to keep our state park open! The donation represents all of the proceeds from this year's Coastal Cleanup effort, which occurred on September 19.

Off-Roaders Support Wildlife

Pacific Wildlife Care Receives Donation and Volunteer Assistance

Morro Bay, Monday, Oct. 13, 2008—Your Dunes joined Pacific Wildlife Care of SLO County as a Supporting Member with a donation from off-roaders on Friday, October 10. At the same time, Your Dunes offered volunteer assistance in the form of rescuing and transporting animals as needed. Three days after joining, assistance was requested to remove and release a racoon that was caught in a cage trap on a roof in Morro Bay. Using ropes, the cage was safely lowered to the ground and the little guy was released back to wherever racoons hide out. Wild animals are intentionally not relocated due to the possibility of mortality to dependent young.

Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008—Coastal Cleanup Day, Your Dunes presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to Friends of Oceano Dunes to keep our state park open!
